My final thoughts are this; there is minimal high quality research to support the use of kinesio tape and no evidence that I'm aware of that it improves performance. In time this evidence base may develop and provide more guidance.

So, science is still out on this one, and as ACE notes, exactly how the tape may work is still unknown. All in all, ACE recommends the tape for those with chronic muscle and joint issues combined with additional rehabilitation and stretching protocols.
