The Prostitution Experience
I am a thirty-seven year old Irish woman who was prostituted between the ages of fifteen to twenty-two. I wrote this blog under the pseudonym ‘FreeIrishWoman’ from February 2012 until April 2013 and revealed my identity on The Late Late Show on April 12th when my book ‘Paid For – My Journey Through Prostitution’ was published. I am writing this blog to highlight the true nature of prostitution – the commercialisation of sexual abuse. I welcome comments, feedback and discussion, but please do not come on here (as one fool recently did) and try to peddle the myth of the happy hooker to me – because I worked in every area of prostitution and nothing I saw anywhere, at anytime, showed anything to support that.
