Overwhelming emotions...
It is getting harder and harder to remain positive and act like nothing is happening. I have cancer. I am going to lose my hair, I am going to get sick, I am going to change. I am 24 years old, by the time of my my 4th chemo I will be 25 years old. I am currently single and I am okay with being single but I of course had dreams and hopes of getting married one day and having a family and right now all of that seems like it will never happen.
The crazy thoughts that go through my mind are: Who could love someone with cancer? Who would date someone who had cancer? What if I die? What if I become infertile during this process? I understand how silly some of those questions are but they…

Hodgkin’s lymphoma: an uncommon cancer that’s easily missed in Africa
Reports from developed countries indicate that the main risks for developing it are family history and a previous infection by a virus known as Epstein-Barr Virus. This belongs to the herpes family of viruses. Sadly, this kind of association of the virus with cancer may go undetected in developing countries where health research is not a priority.

Feel All The EMOTIONZ...
This is inspired by my other cancer warriors. I have stated it before I am sure but I will state it again, having cancer is a damn roller coaster of emotions! Its up and down, left and right, flips, circles, backwards and every other which way.
Powerful, Moving Portraits of Black Women With Cancer
When she was 25 years old, Andrene M. Taylor was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Getting through chemotherapy treatments, radiation, and a stem-cell transplant weighed on Taylor’s body and spirit. Overwhelming emotions...
I have the "good" cancer. Thats right the good kind, the curable kind, the kind you hope to get if you are gonna get cancer. It is still cancer and it still makes people look at you differently. Oh well I have been through a lot in my life and I am strong enough to handle anything thrown at me even if it is cancer.
Lymphoma Barbie
Throughout my journey, I created a blog/Instagram page to help raise awareness, document my journey, and help other cancer patients in the process. I found that the response from other fighters out there was so touching, that I wrote a book, entitled “Talk Cancer to Me”, since there is no real guide book to cancer.
